The Staff and Board of Directors thank you for your interest in Friends of Strays. Choosing our shelter to be part of your estate planning shows your commitment to abandoned animals and our efforts to save them.
How To Make A Gift
Simply include a provision in your Will specifying the type and/or amount you would like to give. Your gift can consist of money, bank accounts, securities, antiques, works of art, or real estate.
Although the provision can be a short paragraph, the language necessary to accomplish your wishes is extremely important and should be prepared by your attorney.
You can name Friends of Strays as a beneficiary by updating your will to include a codicil that includes Friends of Strays in your revocable trust. We can be named as a direct beneficiary of a specific amount of money, a specific asset or a percentage of your estate.
If you would like specific wording for your bequest, please contact our Executive Director by sending her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At the time of your death, an advanced directive can state “In lieu of flowers, please direct all donations to Friends of Strays Animal Shelter.”
All donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support!
