Part Time Animal Care/Facilities Specialist
- Animal Care/Facilities Specialist follows the standard procedures and policies for routine animal care and other related duties at Friends of Strays Animal Shelter (FOS). Animal Care/Facilities Specialists are not limited to the animal care department but assist with all shelter needs this includes Medical, Intake, Foster and Adoptions.
Full Time Client Care/Foster Coordinator
- Client Care/Foster is responsible for using Friends of Strays policies and procedures to find temporary appropriate homes for our animals in need of foster. Client Care/Foster Counselors are also responsible for handling all front desk/reception needs, aiding the public on adoption related concerns, basic animal behavior, resources for surrender, pet owner reunification and community support programs. Client Care/Foster is not limited to the front desk or foster duties but assist with all shelter needs this includes Medical/Clinic, Intake, Adoptions and Animal Care.
Part Time Veterinary Technician
- The veterinary technician works closely with our Medical Director and Medical Manager assisting with exams and taking care of the everyday needs of animals in the intake and isolation wards as well as other animals in the shelter as needed. The veterinary technician helps maintain the medical area, keeping it organized and clean. He/she will administer medications to animals in the shelter along with performing basic lab tests (cytologies, fecal, UA, PCV, SNAPs, etc.) and preparing labs to go out to processing. The veterinary technician will take basic vitals of animals during surgery and exams, and clean, prep, pack, and autoclave surgery packs.
