Friends of Strays Hosts Free Clinics for the Public

Friends of Strays is Excited to Announce the Following Clinics Available to Pinellas County Residents:

April 9th: Free spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for cats
April 16th and May 7th: Free vaccination clinic for dogs

Please note that all clinics are reserved for Pinellas County residents and pets will be seen by appointment ONLY. A maximum of two animals per household will be admitted.

Spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for cats:

On Tuesday, April 9th, 2019, Friends of Strays will offer a free feline spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for cats for the Saint Petersburg community. This program will offer spay/neuter surgeries, core vaccines, and microchip placement. A Rabies vaccine/license and microchip implant is required for this program; if your pet does not have a rabies vaccine and/or microchip, they will be administered at the time of surgery. At the time of the event a form will be available for additional services such as Felv-FIV combo testing, and deworming.

A surgical consent form must be downloaded and filled out prior to the event. You can access the AWTF Release Form by clicking here. 

There will be copies of the surgical authorization form available at the shelter if you are unable to access the form online. Those interested must have and annual household income at or below $40,000 to participate. Drop off is between 7:30am and 8:30am. Cats must be in their own carrier or trap and a maximum of two cats per household will be admitted.

The registration deadline for our cat clinic is April 5th so please email clinic@friendsofstrays.org as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Our capacity is limited and animals will not be seen without an appointment.

Free vaccination clinics for dogs:

On Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 and Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 Friends of Strays will offer free vaccination clinics for dogs. This program will offer core vaccines, microchip placement, and deworming. A Rabies vaccine/license and microchip implant is required for this program; if your pet does not have a Rabies vaccine and or microchip, they will be administered at the time of exam. 


A vaccine consent form will be available online and must be downloaded and filled out prior to the event.You can access the AWTF Release Form by clicking here. 

There will be copies of the vaccine consent form available at the shelter if you are unable to access the form online. A maximum of two dogs per household will be admitted and you will not qualify for this program if you have already participated in the clinic for cats. Those interested must have and annual household income at or below $40,000 to participate. Appointments will be from 9:00am-12:00pm and resume again from 2:00pm-4:30pm.

The registration deadline for the dog clinics are April 12th and May 3rd for the respective dates so please email clinic@friendsofstrays.org as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Our capacity is limited and animals will not be seen without an appointment.
